SPINICCI OLIVE GROVE

Every area has its own olive grove

Description

A magnificent slope at an altitude of 300 m with eastern exposure, that drops off steeply towards a stream to the south. In the midst of a hilly area devoted to olive growing, with an incredible view of the entire plain that was the birthplace of the Etruscan civilization, against the background of the sea, 16 km away. The soil is primarily tufaceous and clayey. The climate is that typical of the Maremma zone—mild, but very dry in the summer and with strong northerly winds in the winter. It generates an intense aroma and flavor in the oil pressed from the olives in this area, and often with a strong hint of citrus.
